Beliefs: Confidence: Positive Change:

I find images of neurons like the one above not only beautiful but very exciting. We can actually change the way these neurons communicate with each other by the thoughts we choose to think. So by showing the client how to produce new neural pathways change is seamless and easy.

And that is the really nice thing about changing  peoples belief about themselves.

its totally non invasive, its so smooth,  easy and seamless that people will struggle with the concept they ever had a problem in the first place.

My area of speciality is motivation and confidence, I so often find that when you raise a person’s level of self esteem many other problems or symptoms just seem to fade into insignificance.

The answer to "thats just the way I am" is who told you?

We all picked up our belief system from somewhere

Not many adults still believe in the tooth fairy
   but most children do.

  • WHY ? Because a respected authority figure told them it was true.
  • They followed the procedure.
  • Were rewarded just as they had been promised!!
Like finding their siblings under a Goosebury bush, such beliefs are easy to let go of as we grow older because they so obviously conflict with the world around us.

However more subtle influences that may well have been put there for all sorts of reasons or even accidentally.  STAY PUT!

Remember the subconscious has no understanding of time

So if we pick up the notion that we're clumsy, stupid, lazy or just not good enough.
It stays with us all our life and influences every action we take.

Q: How many therapists does it take to change a light bulb ?

A: Only one but the bulb has really got to want to change !

Indulge me, I know its corny but its a truism. Because the same goes for clients; the essential thing to realise is that all therapy is a partnership. What the client feels at ease with is normally the most productive way of working. The one requirement is that the client must desire change.

It may look very impressive on the films when the charismatic performer produces an instant solution by slapping someone on the forehead, but unfortunately it’s just acting. In real life we have to work just that little bit harder.

But only a little, as Einstein said make things simple but not too simple.
Einstein was a great believer in the power of the imagination. It acted as the catalyst that fired his amazing intellect.

And as the hynosis and psychotherapy pages above show, getting your magnificent imaginiation to work for you is so easy you'll begin to wonder why you never did before.
