Hypnotherapy: Life Coaching: Positive Psychology:
How to get to Westcliff, Southend, Essex
Edward W Bazely, I have an (honours) degree in psychology (OU) and (honours) diploma in hypnotherapy (EICH).
I am an Accredited member of the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy(which enables me to supervise other therapists).
I also belong to the National Council of Psychotherapists and the British Psychological Society. In the interests of simplicitiy all these worthies are on the Links page along with other sites of potential interest.
Like Roy Hunter (one of the USA’s most respected hypnotherapists) I think of Hypnotherapy as an art form and by association myself as an artist. Hardly a day goes by that I don’t find myself thrilled and excited by the possibilities for self-improvement and the empowerment of the individual. I am also certified in Mind-Body and Emotional Freedom Therapies and think myself honoured and privileged to work in such an exciting and relativity new fields with their implications for stress related symptoms such as IBS and panic attacks.
Of course the term ‘new’ is a little ironic if you think of the soothsayer or the shaman/medicine man in early societies, or the image of a lone searcher gazing into a sunset looking for solutions to problems that were unsettling the tribe, or even the dream temples of the ancient Egyptians and Greeks with their soothsayers and priests helping people to use the intuition of their subconscious minds to solve everyday problems. Intuitive mind-power has been around for a long time.

While we owe a great debt to Freud, Jung, Adler and the other giants of the early psychoanalytical movement, I believe their paternalistic and authoritarian approach is not only outdated but disrespectful to the client.
I work in the humanitarian tradition of Maslow and Rogers where the most important person in the room is the client and this is reflected in the inductions I create and in my general approach.
I count myself incredibly lucky in being able to work from home, this allows me far greater flexibility in arranging appointments, for example evening consultations.
As you can see Westcliff is in the general Southend area.

As its a one way street, by car entry is from West Road.
